Sofie Berg

My work is based on craftsmanship, materiality, and function. I am inspired by the tactile qualities of different clays and in creating objects that are easy to use. I often reduce the form to fewer lines while maintaining structural strength. In recent years, I have focused mainly on teapots, which are demanding both in form and function. My practice also includes commissions for restaurants and work with wood-firing.
